➢ An elementary school in Avignon, France had to institute a new ban . . . on parents THROWING THEIR KIDS over the fence when they’re late.
The school has a six-foot-high steel fence with a gate that closes at 8:30 A.M. And it turns out it was too hard for some parents to get their kids there before that cutoff.
So the principal says, quote, “Parents arriving after the bell were literally throwing their kids.”
She says it didn’t happen “regularly” . . . but it happened. So now there’s a sign up telling parents NOT to throw their kids . . . and to come back when the gates reopen at 10:00 A.M.
➢ A woman was standing in the ocean recording some kind of holistic selfie video . . . and when she said it’s powerful to ask the ocean to cleanse you, the ocean granted her request with a wave that obliterated her.
➢ Collins Dictionary is the first to make a Word of the Year pick for 2020, and they chose . . . “lockdown.”
They say the use of the word “lockdown” across websites, books, and news is up 6,000% from last year, which makes a lot of sense. Some of their runners-up for Word of the Year are: BLM . . . coronavirus . . . furlough . . . self-isolate . . . and social distancing.
But not ALL of their runners-up were serious. One was “mukbang,” which is a Korean term for, quote, “a video in which the host eats a large quantity of food for the entertainment of viewers.” I think we all hope 2021 features way fewer lockdowns and way more mukbanging.
➢ This guy posted a video explaining why he always keeps a key under his welcome mat, even though it’s an obvious place for robbers to look. (He wants them to take the key to his safe deposit box at his bank . . . where they’ll find money and a self-help book so they can get back on their feet. He says the name of the bank in the video.)

COVID NEWS………….
- The CDC published a scientific brief that found wearing a mask doesn’t just protect other people . . . it also protects you. Maybe NOW people will actually wear them?
- A new study out of Stanford University found small, crowded, indoor places including restaurants, gyms, hotels, and houses of worship account for 80% of coronavirus infections. In fact, 80% of infections come from 10% of the places people go.
The researchers say that cutting the capacity of those places down to 20% could curb transmissions by 80%.
- Some of the people who took part in the Pfizer vaccine trials say it made them feel like they had a “severe hangover” . . . but once that went away, they tested positive for antibodies, so it’s worth it.
- A psychological study out of Cornell University has found that the more of a sense of ENTITLEMENT someone has, the less likely they are to follow virus guidelines like social distancing.
- It’s confirmed: The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade will be closed to the publicand the balloons will only float down one block.

- “Sports Illustrated”found that their cover is a JINX 37% of the time. So about two out of every five people or teams they put on their cover went on to lose or fail.
- In 1983, before Michael Boltonwas famous, he auditioned to replace Ozzy Osbourne as the lead singer in Black Sabbath.
- Nintendo named Mario after the landlord of their first warehouse, Mario Segale. It was a way to get an extension on paying rent.

GOOD NEWS
A guy from Hawaii named Elton Goo was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer in 2016. And he’s been spending the last four years traveling the world. But when the pandemic hit, he ran out of his meds.
He was in Peru, and couldn’t leave. So he rationed his medication until they were all gone, and thought he was finished at that point.
But then last week, he got a call from his doctor . . . who told him that somehow, he’s now CANCER-FREE.
They don’t know how it happened, but he says he’s excited to have more time. Especially because his first grandchild is on the way.

DAN + SHAY, TIM McGRAW AMONG PERFORMERS ON ‘CMA COUNTRY CHRISTMAS’
Dan + Shay, Tim McGraw, Kelsea Ballerini, Gabby Barrett, Florida Georgia Line, Lady A, Little Big Town, Thomas Rhett, and Darius Rucker with Lindsey Stirling will all be performing on CMA Country Christmas, airing on Monday, Nov. 30th on ABC at 9 p.m. ET. The show will be hosted by Thomas and his wife, Lauren Akins, for the first time.
The show was filmed for the first time without a live audience this past September in Nashville. According to the show’s producers, this year’s CMA Country Christmas will be reminiscent of “the great Christmas specials of the 1960s and 1970s.”

Chris Janson‘s latest single, “Waitin’ On 5,’ is dedicated to and written about the average hard-working person. He co-wrote the song, which he tells us was written to take on a few meanings. [“‘Waitin’ On Five’ is a working man’s anthem. It is a 9 to 5’er ‘s song. It is the guy or girl who goes to work all week, and is literally waiting on 5 o’clock to roll around. Now, there’s a whole other sentiment of it too . . . waiting on 5 to get started on 6 . . . and we all know what that means. It could be 6 o’clock, it could be a 6-pack, it could really be whatever you want it to be.”]
“Waitin’ On 5′ is the third single from Chris’ Real Friends album. The previous two singles — “Good Vibes” and “Done” — climbed to Number One on the country charts.
CARRIE UNDERWOOD RELEASES EXCLUSIVE CHRISTMAS SONG ON AMAZON MUSIC
Carrie Underwood has released an original holiday song which she co-wrote called “Favorite Time of Year” exclusively on Amazon Music. The song is now available to stream individually and will also appear as a bonus track on Amazon Music’s version of her debut Christmas album, My Gift.
Carrie said, “‘Favorite Time of Year’ is a joyful, super happy and fun Christmas song because it is about all of the things that make you happy this time of year, and it puts you in the mood to celebrate. I can’t help but smile when I sing it, it just brightens my day and I’m thrilled to share it today only on Amazon Music.”
Carrie and “Favorite Time of Year” will be featured in Ring’s brand-new Doorbell Season holiday campaign airing across national TV and online.
