People living in the freezing regions of the upper Midwest are purposely freezing their jeans and positioning them in all sorts of funny scenarios as part of the “Frozen Pants” challenge, because, as one Instagrammer in Minnesota asked, “What else do you do when it’s this cold?”
Though not entirely new to 2019, the act of freezing one’s pants and standing them up on the front lawn, has taken off thanks extreme polar vortex temperatures. Tom Grotting, who claims he came up with the idea six years ago, says that outside temperatures need to reach below 0 degrees F before the pants will stand on their own. Most post about their creations on social media using the hashtag #frozenpants.

Variety talked to Chris Pratt at the “Lego Movie 2” premiere, and he said there will be a “Guardians of the Galaxy 3”.
If the “Beatles” fan in your circle of friends and family has been spotted salivating today, this is probably the reason: “Lord of the Rings” filmmaker Peter Jackson has come aboard a project that Paul McCartney had previously hinted was in the works: a new Beatles documentary using the 55 hours of in-studio footage that were shot in early 1969, for the 1970 feature film “Let It Be.” The announcement was made on Wednesday — the 50th anniversary of the Beatles’ final live appearance — the legendary rooftop concert atop the Apple Records offices in London.

Cops Bust a Car Thief When He Asks Them for a Jump
There’s a 32-year-old guy named Justin Comer from Spartanburg, South Carolina. And on Thursday, his car died, so he went looking for help. Two cops were nearby checking out a drug complaint, so Justin asked them if they’d give him a jump.
But when they came over, they got suspicious when they saw his ignition key was BROKEN. So they ran his plates . . . and they found out Justin was driving a STOLEN CAR.
He was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle.
But that wasn’t all. While the cops were dealing with Justin, a 55-year-old guy named Michael Lewis randomly wandered up to see what was going on . . . and the cops realized HE had an outstanding warrant for shoplifting. So he was arrested too.

A Store Clerk Stops a Robbery by Hitting the Robber with a Banana
On Saturday night, a guy walked into a convenience store in Mississauga and demanded money.
As far as we know, he didn’t have a weapon. So when he approached the register, the clerk grabbed the first weapon HE could to fight off the robber.
And that happened to be . . . one of those BANANAS that every convenience store has on sale but literally no one ever buys.
Anyway, the clerk HIT the guy with the banana, and apparently, that was enough to scare him off . . . because the guy ran away empty-handed. The cops are trying to track him down.

An 86-year-old grandmother in St. Louis named Jessica Slaughter went from a size 22 to a 4 by taking long morning walks — in her one-bedroom apartment.
She lost 120 pounds with her daily 3,000 step routine boogieing between her kitchen and living room. She said struggled with obesity for decades.
Now, her fridge is packed with veggies, and she’s not only committed to her walking routine, but she’s also quit alcohol and gone vegan. To help measure her progress, her granddaughter advised Slaughter to invest in some new tech: “[She] told me ‘Mama, get you a Fitbit.’ I said ‘What the hell is a Fitbit?’”
“I just want seniors to know just because we’ve gotten a certain age, we don’t have to stop living,” Slaughter says. “I want to tell them that there’s a better way of life if they choose.”

Samsung Refrigerators Now Have a Tinder-Style Dating App . . .
Samsung just launched a new app for their smart refrigerators called Refrigerdating. And it’s a Tinder-style app, but instead of swiping on pictures of potential dates . . . you swipe on pictures of what’s in their fridge.
A Samsung PR rep says they made the app because, quote, “We hope people can meet under more honest or transparent circumstances with the help of the contents of the fridge, because that can tell you a lot about the personality.”

Your Pajamas Are Hiding a Disgusting Secret
Are you washing your pajamas as much as you should be? You could be in for a rude awakening. Experts have warned that not changing your pajamas regularly enough could make them a breeding ground for nasty bugs and illnesses.
They recommend changing your sleepwear at least every three wears. This is because some of the common bugs on our skin can become troublesome if our PJs aren’t washed enough. Most of the time these bugs are harmless, unless they get into an open cut.
A recent study revealed the average 18-to-30-year-old man wears the same sleepwear for an average of 13 nights. Women are even less likely to change their nightwear and don’t change their PJs for 17 wears. Experts insist the absolute bare minimum you should wash your pajamas is once a week.

Dream Job Alert: Hallmark Is Looking for Extras for a Christmas Movie
If your idea of a dream come true is appearing in a movie next to Lacey Chabert, Candace Cameron Bure or maybe even the cast of When Calls the Heart, boy, do I have some news for you: Hallmark is looking for extras!
Synthetic Cinema currently has an open sign-up for background roles in a “Christmas romantic drama” that will air on the network, according to The Day. The publication spoke to the film’s producer, Andrew Gernhard, who said he can’t disclose many details about the project, including the cast list.
Filming will take place in southeastern Connecticut, which is fitting as the flick will be based in a tiny town in the Northeast. “What Connecticut has is that classic New England Christmas look,” Gernhard said. “Some of these movies go to Romania, some go to Canada, some are in L.A. in the summer, but nothing really beats that classic New England feel.”

The cops investigated the theft, and they figured out the thief had used the credit card to buy lottery tickets at that convenience store.
So when the woman tried to cash in the ticket at the lottery office the next day, she was immediately arrested for fraud and possession of a stolen credit card.

DOLLY PARTON TO PERFORM, BE CELEBRATED WITH TRIBUTE AT GRAMMY AWARDS –
For the first time in 18 years, Dolly Parton will perform on the Grammy Awards. The icon will sing music from her album, Dumplin’, the soundtrack to the 2018 film of the same name.
