A cop in South Carolina pulled over a woman for speeding recently, and found out she was rushing her 12-day-old baby to the hospital.  It had stopped breathing after drinking a bottle, so he did first aid and saved its life.  His body cam footage was released last week, and he received a medal.

A family from Texas were posing for a photo at a national park.  Apparently they were recreating a photo of the dad’s grandmother, who recently passed away.  And a woman in the background photobombed them by flashing the camera.  The Mom says some people think it’s not a big deal, but she does.

ENTERTAINMENT

Last night, ABC aired a Lion King special with interviews and behind-the-scene clips from the original and new movie.  In it, they explained how the new movie was made using Virtual Reality headsets and director Jon Favreau told Robin Roberts that it looks so real he even snuck in a real picture from Africa to see if anyone noticed.

Throughout the course of his 11-year career hosting his PBS show “The Joy of Painting,” Bob Ross is estimated to have painted approximately 1,143 paintings — three of the same painting per episode. So where are all those paintings now? The majority of Ross’ paintings are stored at the Virginia headquarters of Bob Ross Inc.

Unfortunately for those interested in purchasing one the family has no intention of selling them, because, according to them, that “wasn’t really Bob’s thing.” Some have been donated to the Smithsonian Institute.

TODAY’S GOOD NEWS

On his wedding day recently, Matt Reilly and his groomsmen gathered outside the wedding venue in downtown Omaha to capture a commemorative photo on his special day.

But just as the photographer snapped the camera, the wedding group photo was unexpectedly interrupted by a random woman on a scooter in a vibrant tie-dye blue and green dress and matching sunglasses, who zoomed in front of the group in an epic photobomb.

Kenyatta Jefferson, the “scooter girl” who photobombed the picture, she was zipping around Omaha on Lime scooters with her husband Eric and another friend when she saw the groomsmen ready to take some pictures and she saw an opportunity she couldn’t pass up.

Although Jefferson crashed their photo, Reilly and his groomsmen were ecstatic, and erupted “incoherent yelling,” Reilly recalls. “We are a group of guys who like to do things in the moment so it was the perfect timing and place for it to happen,”

The post with the hashtag #FindScooterGirl, quickly took off online and “Scooter Girl” became an instant hit with people loving her spontaneity and energy. Facebook users were able to identify Jefferson the same day they began their search.

Reilly says the whole experience has left him with an invaluable lesson as he begins his venture into married life. “From this experience, I think my biggest take away is to live in the moment, as cliché as it sounds, by this I mean be ready for the unexpected things to come into your life and bring you a little extra happiness or laughter.”

41% of Us Have Had Food Stolen by a Co-Worker . . .

Does anyone ever face criminal charges for stealing food at work?  Because it might be one of the most common types of theft out there . . .

A new survey found 41% of us have had food stolen by a co-worker before.  And 60% of those people said they’ve had to confront a colleague about it.

If you bring chips into the office, you’re asking for trouble.  Apparently they’re the most common type of food co-workers like to steal.

The top ten foods that get stolen at work are chips . . . fruit . . . candy . . . coffee . . . juice . . . milk . . . bread . . . ice cream . . . bagged lunch meat . . . and nuts.

But your co-workers aren’t the ones you have to worry about MOST when it comes to food theft.  Your family is . . . especially your significant other.

The biggest food thieves are our partner . . . our friends . . . and co-workers are third.

THE MOST (AND LEAST) PAINFUL PLACES TO GET A TATTOO:
Most painful:
➢ Inner wrist:  Even some who have full sleeve tattoos say it was most painful body part they have ever had done.

➢ Stomach:  Many report the stomach as one of the most painful places. And the back of the knee, the neck, the throat and the ribs are also near the top of the list.
(Or they are as long as we’re keeping this list G-rated…)

Least painful:
➢ Shoulder:  It has fewer nerve endings, so for most, it’ll be less painful to be inked there.

➢ Also:  The calf, buttocks and outer arm
-Keep in mind, pain level and pain tolerance are subjective, and what’s killer for one person might be a blip on the radar for another.

GERMIEST PLACE IN YOUR BATHROOM ISN’T YOUR TOILET

For women, peeing in a public bathroom is kind of a big deal.

Lots of ladies choose to hoover over the toilet seat, in an effort to avoid germs. But it turns out when it comes to the bathroom in your house it’s the toothbrush holder that harbors the most germs.

A found toothbrush holders contained mold and yeast, and some had coliform (meaning they may have had poop particles on them.)

Overall, bathrooms can be full of germs, so the take-home message is that you should wash your hands frequently (and also use paper towels from a motion-detection dispenser) to avoid spreading around bathroom germs.

Researchers add that most of the bacteria in bathrooms pose no harm to humans.

LUKE COMBS IS GRAND OLE OPRY OFFICIAL – (07/17/2019)

Luke Combs was welcomed as the newest member of the Grand Ole Opry last night (Tuesday, July 16th). Vince Gill helped do the honors, along with Joe Diffie and several other Opry members. They officially inducted Luke after he performed a couple of his hits.

Prior to the induction, Luke told reporters backstage that he’s still wrapping his head around the whirlwind pace of his career and this incredible milestone. [“It’s definitely been a very welcome surprise and definitely overwhelming for me, just like trying to process it myself, and it is crazy. It wasn’t that long ago that I was signing my record deal and making my debut, and her we are just a few short years later and by the end of tonight I’ll be the newest member of the Grand Ole Opry, which is very exciting and very nerve-wracking at the same time.”]

Luke made his debut on the Grand Ole Opry just two years ago.

JON PARDI PULLS FROM INFLUENCES OF LAST FOUR DECADES FOR ‘HEARTACHE MEDICATION’ ALBUM

Jon Pardi is a little more than two months away from releasing his third studio album, Heartache Medication. He tells us it’s definitely different from his 2016 project, California Sunrise. [“California Sunrise was me as, ‘Okay, this is what you want – boom, here you go,’ but it’s still country at the same time. I guess Heartache Medication is more my influences from the 70s, the 80s, the 90s, the 2000s to where it’s all kind of in this record and it’s a sound that you haven’t really heard in a long time.”]

Jon’s debut single is the album’s title track.

He opens tonight (Monday, July 15th) for Tim McGraw in Phoenix.

FAST FACTS

Jon continues on the Burning Man Tour with Dierks Bentley on Thursday (July 18th) in Jacksonville, FL.

His Heartache Medication album will be released on September 27th.
