➢The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission wrapped up a 19-month investigation into . . . ready for this? . . . a million-dollar FLYING SQUIRREL trafficking ring.
There are seven guys in a rural part of Florida who were trapping flying squirrels . . . which is illegal, because they’re a protected species in the state.
Then they would sell them to dealers in Florida and Georgia . . . who would find buyers in South Korea and claim the squirrels were legally raised . . . the buyers would fly to Florida . . . then drive the squirrels to Chicago before they flew them home. The guys caught around 36,000 flying squirrels in three years and the retail value is approximately $1 million. So far the seven guys have been arrested and more arrests are coming.
➢ Only 46% of people say they’ll definitely go back to shaking hands once the pandemic is over. 26% will not, and the rest aren’t sure. Men are almost three times more likely than women to say they’ll go back to handshakes.
➢ This toddler tries his best to inspire his dad to join him on top of the play structure. Dad’s too big, but that’s not stopping the boy from encouraging him with phrases like, “You can do it. I know you can.”
➢ A California highway has become the first state road in the U.S. made entirely from recycled plastic. It looks like an ordinary newly-paved road, but the mile-long stretch of Highway is made from more than 150,000 single-use plastic bottles. The sustainable landscaping company TechniSoil partnered with the state to repave the 3-lane road, which is expected to be 2-3 times more durable than traditional asphalt pavement. The procedure also generates 90% fewer greenhouse gas emissions than a ‘normal’ road construction operation.

Are You a Good Husband or Wife by 1939 Standards?
An old marriage test from 1939 is making the rounds online. It’s supposed to tell you if you’re being a good husband or wife. But most of the tips don’t translate to 2020 very well. Guys had it a LOT easier back then. Women, not so much.
Here are some of the signs you’re a good HUSBAND, according to the test: You’re nice to her friends . . . remember your anniversary . . . you’re kind to her, even if no one’s watching . . . you ask for her opinion sometimes . . . you let her drive the car if she needs it . . . and you read the paper out loud to her.
A few signs you’re NOT a great husband include: Flirting in front of her . . . comparing her to your mom, or previous wives . . . talking about how life was better before you got married . . . not saying “excuse me” when you burp . . . and criticizing her in public.
Now here are a few signs you’re a good WIFE by 1939 standards: You always serve dinner on time . . . you play an instrument . . . get dressed up for breakfast . . . you’re a good housekeeper . . . you always put the kids to bed . . . you run any big purchases by your husband first . . . and you let him sleep in on the weekends.
Some signs you’re NOT a good wife include: Not liking kids . . . being late for appointments . . . letting your cold feet touch him under the covers . . . being a backseat driver . . . getting jealous . . . and wearing red nail polish.

Three teenage girls in Ireland spent three months in lockdown working on an app called Memory Haven that helps people with dementia.
It’s a collection of games and tasks that help prevent memory loss.
And it just won them a huge international competition, beating out 1,500 other teams from 62 countries.

Before You Get Your Flu Shot, Get a Good Night’s Sleep
It’s important to get a flu shot this year, so we don’t have a double-barrel outbreak. And because early symptoms are similar to COVID-19. So if you DO get sick, you don’t want to confuse the two and assume it’s just the flu.
So here’s a good tip to make your flu shot as effective as possible. Before you get your shot, make sure to get a good night’s sleep.
Studies have found that how much sleep you get makes a big difference in how well the flu vaccine works. Because being underslept takes a huge toll on our immune system.
People who average less than seven hours a night are three times more likely to get sick with the common cold. And less than five hours almost doubles your chances for pneumonia.
When your immune system isn’t at full strength, you don’t produce as many antibodies. And that’s why it matters for the flu vaccine too.
Bad sleep habits in the week leading up to your flu shot can cut your immune response by more than HALF. So you won’t create as many antibodies, and it might not work.

That was enough time for Carson Wentz and the Eagles to score two touchdowns, and recover a fumble to secure the win beating the NY Giants 22 to 21.
Here’s another nominee for the Sports Blooper of the Year award. In last night’s “Thursday Night Football” game, the New York Giants were 88 yards away from their end zone, when quarterback Daniel Jones broke free for a huge run. He had NO ONE near him. Garth Brooks Injured His Hand in a Farm Accident, but He’s Okay
A minor farming accident forced GARTH BROOKS to postpone last Wednesday’s live preview of his “Fun” album. Instead, he’s doing it on Monday’s “Inside Studio G”.
We don’t know exactly what happened, except that he injured multiple fingers on his left hand. He was still hoping to do Wednesday’s show, but had to back out at the last minute.
Quote, “I kept trying, all the way up until showtime, to play, thinking that it was going to eventually get better. And then finally just had to give in to the fact that I wasn’t going to be able to play. [I] can’t apologize enough to everybody.”
He posted a video on Facebook with TRISHA YEARWOOD where they announced the rescheduling. You can see two brief flashes of a glove he’s wearing on his injured left hand.

Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard of Florida Georgia Line say they are enjoying the basics of life while home with their families during the pandemic. For Tyler that means yard work.
