➢By now, you’ve seen the video: A previously-unknown NATHAN APODACA, skateboarding to work, drinking from a bottle of Ocean Spray Cran-Raspberry juice, and singing “Dreams” by FLEETWOOD MAC.
A lot has happened for Nathan since he went viral. Ocean Spray bought him a truck, people have donated THOUSANDS of dollars to him, MICK FLEETWOOD posted a response, and he even has a clothing line that’s blowing up.
And now, Fleetwood Mac is getting a little something out of it, too. Yesterday, “Dreams” . . . which was first released in 1977 . . . hit #1 on iTunes. And their “Greatest Hits” album was #5.
And the kicker is, he was skateboarding to work because his truck broke down. He was living in a trailer without running water, parking in front of his brother’s house. If anyone had a reason to be sour at that particular moment, it was Nathan Apodaca.
➢People can make silly decisions when they’re drunk—but this is next level. A college student in the U.K. needed to be rescued by firefighters after getting her legs stuck inside a clothes dryer. Rosie Cole, age 21, says she and her friends were drinking wine and tequila on Tuesday night (September 29th) when she was challenged to try and fit inside the appliance. Cole, who attends University of Hull, says she climbed in legs-first, and even managed to shimmy in her hips before she realized she’d made a terrible mistake. She was unable to uncross her legs inside the dryer and her roommates were unable to free her. Firefighters were able to free Cole within 20 minutes, and of course her friends filmed the whole debacle.
➢ There’s a 30-year-old guy named Mark Rofe in Sheffield, England . . . and back in January, he spent $550 to rent a billboard to try to find himself a girlfriend. It said, quote, “Single? Date Mark. This could be the sign you’ve been waiting for.”
And somehow, it actually worked. A 28-year-old woman reached out to Mark through the website he put on the billboard. He says she reached out, quote, “before it got any mainstream media attention” . . . and they started talking. He wound up going on a date with her, as well as two other women who applied, but he connected with her the most . . . and now they’re in a relationship and in love.
➢ Your taste in music might be formed because of your parents’ height. According to a new study, babies with shorter parents like faster music, and babies with taller parents like slower music. The researchers think it’s because shorter parents take faster steps when they’re walking around with the baby . . . so the baby likes that faster rhythm.
So does that preference carry over as you get older? It would certainly make sense, although there will need to be more studies to figure it out.

A seven-year-old kid from Maryland named Cavanaugh Bell raised enough money to pack a 53-foot truck with PPE and other supplies.
And he delivered them last week to a Native American reservation in South Dakota that’s considered one of the poorest places in America.

Do You Unpack Your Suitcase When You Stay at a Hotel?
Most of us still aren’t travelling much. So put on your “make believe” hat for a second and think back . . .
When you stay at a hotel for more than two nights, do you take the time to unpack your suitcase and put stuff in drawers?
A recent survey asked 3,800 Americans. And 51% said no, they just live out of their suitcase the whole time.
As for the rest of us, 33% said they unpack and hang stuff up, or put it in the dresser . . . 11% said they never travel . . . and 5% were simply confused and answered “I don’t know.”
The older you are, the more likely you are to do it.
Just 16% of people aged 18 to 24 said they unpack, compared to 41% of people over 55.

“Thursday Night Football” had an odd ending last night. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers had little time remaining in the game, trailing the Bears 20 to 19. Tom Brady threw an incomplete pass, turned to his sideline holding four fingers up, like they were going into fourth down. But they weren’t. That play was it. Here’s how it sounded, with Joe Buck and Troy Aikman at the mic.
Final score: Chicago Bears 20 – Tampa Bay Bucs 19. The Bears move to 4-1 on the year, and the Bucs fall to 3-2.
- Washington State man, Robert Boule, is accused of helping seven illegal immigrants cross the border from The United States into Canada. He owns a bed and breakfast called The Smuggler’s Inn which is literally steps away from the Canadian border. Authorities say the immigrants pay up to $700 to stay and then walk into Canada illegally. Here is Boule’s lawyer explaining why his client did nothing wrong.

The NFL Schedule Is In Chaos with More Positive Tests
The NFL has postponed this Sunday’s (October 11th) Buffalo Bills-Tennessee Titans and Denver Broncos-New England Patriots games because of positive coronavirus tests. The Bills-Titans game was moved to Tuesday night at 7 p.m. ET on CBS as long as the Titans don’t have any more positive tests. Tennessee had two more positives yesterday for a total of 23 since September 29th. The Broncos-Patriots game was moved to Monday at 5 p.m. ET on ESPN. The Patriots have had two players and one player on the practice squad test positive. If the Bills-Titans game is played Tuesday, the Bills-Kansas City Chiefs game scheduled for Thursday will move to next weekend.
If the Tuesday game doesn’t happen, it’ll be the second straight week the Titans couldn’t play. It’s unclear how the league will handle that.
There are rumors that they could free up another week AFTER the regular season and before the playoffs to play postponed games . . . or they could just use winning percentage instead of win-loss records to decide the playoff matchups.

Maren Morris followed up her Number One hit, “The Bones,” with a song called “To Hell & Back,” which Maren tells us is apropos for the times. Dolly Parton Really Does “Tumble Out of Bed and Stumble to the Kitchen”
DOLLY PARTON’s “9 to 5” has one of the most memorable opening lyrics ever written. In case you somehow don’t know it. It goes like this: “Tumble out of bed and I stumble to the kitchen, pour myself a cup of ambition.”
If you’ve seen the “9 to 5” movie, you know that it sets up the whole story. Well, it also sets up Dolly’s real-life daily routine. “Wired” had her answer some of the Internet’s most searched questions about herself. One of them was, “Does she drink coffee.”
She said, quote, “Yes, I do. I like to get up in the morning ‘Tumble out of bed and stumble to the kitchen and pour myself a cup of ambition.’ And usually that ambition is a cup of coffee. I’m good with a cup and half of coffee every morning.”
Somebody else asked if she can yodel, and she launched right into the classic “Yodel-Odel-Ay-Hee-Hoo.”
She added, quote, “Actually I have a form of a country yodel that I do [and] incorporate it in different songs, like a song I had out years ago called ‘Mule Skinner Blues‘. I’m not true yodeler like that sound they do from the Swiss Alps, but I can yodel.”
