➢A wildlife intern posted video of her encounter with a wolf in the wild . . . and she added advice on what to do if you find yourself in the same situation.  (The important thing is to not panic while making sure the wolf knows you’re there.  They usually leave when they see humans.)

➢ Now more than ever, people are looking for opportunities to boost their moods; turns out, all you have to do is go for a walk—a new study by US scientists claims that taking a short walk every day can dramatically improve mood, boost positive emotions and reduce stress.

These feelings are attributed to the simple beauty of nature, which can inspire joy and gratitude. The study also analyzed selfies taken during these walks, noting that people who just returned from walking tend to smile more.

➢ If you’d like your bowling game to be put to shame, head to McKees Rocks, PA, where

96-year-old Sara Lyons will gladly oblige. The Pennsylvanian woman has become the first ever at her local bowling alley to roll a “no tap 300”—meaning she knocked down at least nine pins per frame. Lyons, who turns 97 this November, inspired everyone, saying “I won’t give up. I won’t give up no matter how old I am.”

➢ Warner Bros has postponed the debut of superhero sequel “Wonder Woman 1984” until Christmas Day. The film, starring Gal Gadot, had been scheduled for release on Oct. 2, but with many theaters still closed due to the pandemic, it will now be released on Dec. 25. Movie studios have been shuffling their schedules for months as the industry tries to recover from the pandemic, which forced theaters around the world to shut their doors in March.

➢ There’s a video from Shandong, China going viral that sure looks like it’s showing a “Harry Potter”-style CASTLE floating in the clouds.

The best boring explanation is it’s a mirage . . . and just a reflection of a building with kind of similar architecture nearby.  The best non-boring explanation is it’s a magic castle.

A WEALTH OF HEALTH INFO:
➢ Recent research indicates that following a healthy diet may help prevent hearing loss. In a review of 22 studies, researchers in Spain found evidence linking fruits and vegetables, omega-3 fatty acids, and antioxidant nutrients, such as vitamins A, C, and E to a lower risk of developing age-related hearing loss. Other research shows that people who ate fish two to four times a week were 20% less likely to experience hearing problems.

➢ A study has found that eating nuts twice a week could add years to your life. The research, presented at the European Society of Cardiology Congress after a study of over 4,800 adults, showed that consuming a single serving of nuts at least twice a week can reduce one’s risk of dying from heart disease-related conditions by as much as 17%. In addition to being an ideal low-calorie alternative to traditional saturated snacks, nuts are packed with nutrients and unsaturated fatty acids.

  1. The first Super Bowl was carried by both CBS and NBC because of their TV contracts.  No other Super Bowl has been on more than one network.

The Kansas City Chiefs topped the Ravens 34-20 in Monday Night Football last night (September 28th) in Baltimore. Is this appropriate?  A fifth grader in Florida showed up to school wearing a Hooters face mask, and they made him wear a different one.  Now his family is upset about it.

For National Coffee Day, here’s Jimmy Kimmel joking about how coffee was first discovered.  By an Ethiopian goat herder, who noticed his goats had more energy when they ate coffee beans.

Blake Shelton and Some Foster Kids Went Fishing On His Farm

BLAKE SHELTON and a group of foster kids went fishing on one of his farm ponds in Oklahoma.  And after reeling in a few he helped teach them how to filet and cook the fish.

It’s part of a program called “Fostering Outdoor Oklahoma Families.”  They have a partnership with the Oklahoma Wildlife Conservation Foundation and Blake is one of the board directors.

They shared photos on Facebook of the day’s events.  There are several pics of Blake and the kids fishing and showing off what they caught.

The photos were shared last week but it probably happened a while back because Blake’s been spending a lot of time in L.A. preparing for Season 19 of “The Voice”.

TIM McGRAW IS ENJOYING THE ‘CONSEQUENCE OF STICKING AROUND SO LONG’

Over the course of his 30-year career, one of the things that Tim McGraw has become known for is his amazing ability to record hit songs. The proof is in his dozens of Number One hits.

Tim tells us: [“I love songs and I love songwriters, and I’m always searching for songs that really work for me, and songs that I feel like I can really do something with in the studio. I’m in a fortunate position, I guess, that I get to hear a lot of great songs right off the bat when songwriters write ‘em, so that’s a plus. I guess that’s sort of a consequence of sticking around for so long.”]

“I Called Mama” is the album’s first single.

SCOTTY McCREERY RELEASES NEW SINGLE INSPIRED BY WIFE

Scotty McCreery released his new single, called “You Time” yesterday (Wednesday, Sept. 23rd). Scotty co-wrote the new track, which gives fans their first look at what to expect from his upcoming album. A release date for that new project will be announced soon.

“You Time” is one of the first songs Scotty wrote for the new album nearly two years ago. At the time, he tells us that he and his wife, Gabi, were like two ships passing in the night between her job as a nurse and his tour schedule. [“We were busy. This was like in the heat of when Gabi was at Duke hospital and she was having to flip flop between night shifts and day shifts and I’d be coming in from the road, but, yeah, we weren’t seeing each other a lot then. We’re seeing each other a lot right now though, more than we ever have before. It’s been nice. It’s been a positive this year getting to spend time with her. She’s probably ready for me to get back on the road but it’s been fun.”]

Scotty recently topped the charts with his last single, “In Between.” It was the third consecutive Number One hit from his 2018 Seasons Change album.
