- “Donut Day”, honoring the Salvation Army ‘Lassies’ of WWI who served donuts to thousands-upon-thousands of soldiers.

Four Things to Know About Tonight’s “Strawberry Moon”
There’s a full Moon tonight, and it’s known as a “Strawberry Moon” in the U.S. because Native American tribes used it as a signal to start gathering ripening strawberries. Here are four other things to know about tonight’s Strawberry Moon:
- It’s going to be colorful and big. Tonight’s full Moon will follow a low, shallow path across the sky, meaning moonlight will travel through more of the Earth’s atmosphere . . . and that should give it a colorful orange or yellow tint.
- Since the Moon will be low, you’ll probably experience the “Moon Illusion.” That’s an optical illusion where the Moon looks bigger than normal, because the brain tends to see things that are close to the horizon as larger than they are.
- There’s a lunar eclipse too, but it won’t be visible in the U.S. You CAN watch it online though. The Virtual Telescope Project’s YouTubepage will live stream the eclipse starting at noon Eastern today.
- This is the sixth full Moon of 2020. And there will be seven more before the end of the year. The next one will be the Buck Moon on July 5th.

ONE FAMILY TO A RIDE
Theme parks in Denmark preparing to reopen are figuring out how to implement new regulations put in place to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
One impact of these new rules means that some roller coaster riders may get more space to themselves. The guidelines require theme parks to limit the number of riders on each attraction.
This reportedly means that theme parks will only allow one family or rider per train.
Authorities are concerned that the virus can be spread by riders as they scream during the thrill ride, possibly spreading microscopic droplets to other riders around them. Aside from roller coasters, these new rules will reportedly also apply to high-speed rides, fast-spinning attractions and any other rides that passengers are likely to scream on.
These new restrictions may mean that riders get more space to themselves, but they may also experience longer wait times on lines.
DID YOU KNOW?
Living near water may be the key to happiness. The scientifically-proven benefits of being near water include lower levels of stress and anxiety, an increased sense of well-being and happiness, and a lower heart and breathing rate.
Aquatic therapists are even looking to the water to treat and manage PTSD, addiction, anxiety disorders, autism and more.
Water boosts creativity, can enhance the quality of conversations and provides a backdrop to many important parts of living — like play, romance and grieving. However, this is all dependent on the water being safe, clean and healthy.

She says it’s making visitors happy but some of Gottliebs neighbors, on the other hand, are not thrilled. Nobody in the neighborhood really likes it because they all have these beige Mediterranean houses, she explains, and I have this bright, fanciful art piece.

Drew Brees Apologizes, and Says His Flag Comments “Missed the Mark”
DREW BREES has apologized for mischaracterizing protests by COLIN KAEPERNICK and other NFL players as “disrespecting the flag.”
He said, quote, “In an attempt to talk about respect, unity, and solidarity centered around the American flag and the National Anthem, I made comments that were insensitive and completely missed the mark on the issues we are facing right now as a country. They lacked awareness and any type of compassion or empathy.” It’s worth pointing out that Drew didn’t flip his position . . . he’s just sorry he was misunderstood. Which is a notable distinction.
Still, his apology and words of support were enough for a lot of the players and teammates who were upset by his initial comments. Some even said that his quick response was a sign of true leadership. But other people are skeptical that it’s just some nice PR damage control. However, in his post, Drew DID acknowledge that he hasn’t done enough to fight for equality . . . so maybe he will put his words into action.

Brett Young is sending his congratulations to this year’s graduates who are missing out on this year’s festivities due to the global pandemic. He said: [“I know that this has to be a kind of confusing and frustrating time. You’re supposed to be celebrating such a big accomplishment, an important time in your life, and here we are all social distancing and quarantining, but I just wanted to send a quick little message of encouragement. We’re all doing this together. We’re all in this together and there’s gonna be something really beautiful that comes on the other side of all of this, but in the meantime, this doesn’t lessen or cheapen your accomplishment at all. You did it. You deserve to be proud of yourselves. Congratulations.”]
Brett just released “Lady” as the follow-up to his chart-topping hit, “Catch.” The new song is a tribute to his wife, written for his daughter, and it will be featured on a new project from Brett set for release later this year.
