A 20-year-old woman in Loveland, Colorado recently got cited for indecent exposure after a neighbor saw her tossing around a Frisbee in her own front yard topless. But now the police have dropped all charges and agreed to pay her a $50,000 settlement. She says she wasn’t in it for the money, it was just a hot day and she needed to cool down. ______________________________________________________________________________
According to a new survey, 43% of people admit they’ve convinced themselves they had a SERIOUS DISEASE after Googling their symptoms . . . when it turned out they actually had something much more minor. And three out of four people who’ve diagnosed themselves online said it made them worry MORE, not less, about what was wrong with them.
So do we ever get our self-diagnosis RIGHT? The survey found it CAN happen . . . but we get it right less than 40% of the time.

Bill Murray is returning to screens for the upcoming “Ghostbusters” movie in 2020. He’s long been rumored to be reprising his role as fan-favourite ‘Dr. Peter Venkman’ in the new movie, but now co-creator Dan Aykroyd has confirmed the news. Ackroyd says that Murray, Sigourney Weaver and Annie Potts have all completed filming on the movie, and that “Jason Reitman wrote a beautiful, heartfelt script that takes the real DNA from the first two movies and transfers that directly to the third, the next generation.”

GOOD NEWS
A Missouri bartender won the $50,000 after receiving the winning Powerball ticket as a tip. 33-year-old Taylor Russey revealed that a regular costumer at her job at Bleacher’s Bar in O’Fallon buys lottery tickets for other regulars and leaves them along with a cash tip for the workers.
Russey had received a Powerball ticket and a cash tip on October 18th by the customer. Then the following day, Bleacher’s Bar’s Lottery terminal alerted the staff that a winning $50,000 ticket was sold at the establishment. Russey told The New York Post, “I was like, ‘Guys, who won all this money and didn’t tell anybody?’
She then remembered the tip she received and scanned it and the bar’s lottery terminal. That’s when she realized she won! She said, “I kind of stood there for a second, looked at the cook and then looked at the ticket before I started laughing.
And then I started crying. Russey said that she has no plans on spending money on anything extravagant, but she will use it to get dental work done. She said, “I’m not that kind of person. And this is not going to sustain me for the rest of my life. I still have to work.”

➢ An Australian woman really wanted to avoid paying baggage fees on her flight, so she faked a baby bump using her carry-on items. Travel writer Rebecca Andrews provided a step-by-step guide on how she faked a pregnancy using the heaviest items that she had packed. That included wearing something really stretchy, wrapping her electronics in satin, molding it to replicate a smooth bump, then layering clothes on top. She also put her laptop down her back to save carry-on weight. She managed to get through security, but once she reached her gate, she dropped her boarding pass, and when she bent down, airport employees noticed the shape of her laptop down her back. At that point, she admitted that she had “triple-layered” to avoid the fee but never copped to the fact that she wasn’t really pregnant.
➢ Police say a funeral in Germany ended on a high note when mourners were accidentally served cake laced with hash. Rostock police say that after burial, the funeral party went to a restaurant for coffee and cake, as is the custom in Germany. But after eating the cake, 13 people experienced nausea and dizziness and needed medical treatment. It was determined that the restaurant employee in charge of the cakes had asked her 18-year-old daughter to bake them. However, the mother accidentally took the wrong cake from the freezer. The 18-year-old is under investigation.

WORKIN’ 9 TO 1:
Is the 5-hour workday in your future? That’s what some people are thinking after hearing about companies like German-based Digital Enabler, which is already experimenting with the concept.
The company’s CEO, Lasse Rheingans, recently implemented a shorter workday as a means for motivating employees and making them more productive.
To make it work, everyone must give up their cell phones while working. And there is absolutely no social media browsing or office socializing. Digital Enabler’s employees start work at 8am and they grind it out until 1pm.
Apparently, the employees are happier, and they are completing higher quality work. The CEO is hopeful that the shorter day will also prevent workers from burning out and enduring mental health issues as a result.

NEARLY 600 NEW FLU CASES, TWO DEATHS IN THE LAST WEEK
The 2019-2020 flu season has officially begun with 582 new cases and 2 deaths in the week ending November 2nd. This brings the total cases reported since the start of the current flu season to 1,978.
According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Louisiana and Puerto Rico remain “hot spots” for the flu so far this season. Arizona, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Kentucky, Mississippi, Nevada, Tennessee and Texas also reported “local or sporadic activity.”
The CDC reported noted, “Nationally, flu activity is low and similar to what has been observed during recent previous seasons at the same time, but Louisiana and Puerto Rico both continue to experience high levels of influenza-like-illness.
It’s too early to characterize the timing of the season, what viruses will predominate, or how severe the season will be.”

Disney says over 10 million people signed up for Disney+ on Day One. That’s well above industry projections. But most of those users are on a free-trial, so they’re not PAYING customers . . . yet.
Disney has projected that Disney+ will have 60 million to 90 million subscribers worldwide by 2024, with one-third of those in the U.S. That seems low, considering they’re already at 10 million, and it’s only available in three countries: The U.S., Canada, and the Netherlands.

2019 CMA AWARDS
We all knew the spotlight would be on the “women of country” at last night’s “53rd Annual CMA Awards”, and it was . . . until the end, when GARTH BROOKS won Entertainer of the Year.
That last female to win that award was Taylor Swift in 2011. The favorite this year seemed to be CARRIE UNDERWOOD. She launched an all-female tour, worked hard promoting her album, but didn’t win a thing. She was up for three awards.
The CMAs did come through with a solid show. It opened with an all-female medley that started with Carrie and her co-hosts, DOLLY PARTON, and REBA MCENTIRE.
And then came Jennifer Nettles, Kimberly Schlapman, Karen Fairchild, The Highwomen, Tanya Tucker, Gretchen Wilson, Crystal Gayle, Terri Clark, Sara Evans, and Martina McBride . . . who all took turns honoring decades of female country songs.
That could’ve been a tough moment to follow but Carrie, Dolly, and Reba rolled into the monologue without missing a beat. They didn’t do any long and involved comedy bits, like Carrie did with Brad Paisley, but they didn’t need them. They’re pros.
As for the performances: MIRANDA LAMBERT had a spark in her eye while singing “It All Comes Out in the Wash”. I think marriage agrees with her. Speaking of that: How many years before she and Blake Shelton shake hands and make nice?
KELSEA BALLERINI went solo with her guitar while performing “Homecoming Queen?”. And then she launched into “Girl Crush”, which kicked off another succession of female performers that included Lindsay Ell, Runaway June, Maddie & Tae, Ashley McBryde, Carly Pearce . . . and Little Big Town.
The LADY ANTEBELLUM and HALSEY collaboration featured stripped-down versions of Lady A’s “What If I Never Get Over You”, and Halsey’s “Graveyard”. They sounded great together.
The guitars came out and the volume turned up when BROTHERS OSBORNE joined BROOKS & DUNN for “Hard Workin’ Man”.
A night dedicated to women in country music seemed right for a pregnant MAREN MORRIS to perform her song “Girl”. She also won Album of the Year for “Girl”.
Blake Shelton did a nice thing while performing “God’s Country”. He showcased his fiddle player Jenee Fleenor, which was cool for two reasons. She won CMA Musician of the Year, and, believe it or not, she was the first woman to ever win that award.
Hands down, the sweetest moment of the night was when KACEY MUSGRAVES and her hero WILLIE NELSON performed “The Muppet Movie” song “Rainbow Connection”. Unfortunately, Willie’s voice was wavering, but that’s okay.

Garth Brooks won the CMA Award for Entertainer of the Year and gave props to other artists that performed.
Male Vocalist of the Year: Luke Combs
Luke Combs won the Male Vocalist of the Year and it sounded like he was booed . . . hard . . . but it was actually his fans yelling “Luuuuuuukkkkee”.
Female Vocalist of the Year: Kacey Musgraves

Vocal Group of the Year: Old Dominion
New Artist of the Year: Ashley McBryde
Album of the Year: “Girl”, Maren Morris
Maren Morris won Album of the Year last night at the CMAs and got emotional while mentioning the late music producer Michael Busbee who passed away earlier this year. (
Song of the Year: “Beautiful Crazy”, Luke Combs. It’s a songwriter’s award so he shares it with Wyatt B. Durrette III, and Robert Williford.
Single of the Year: “God’s Country”, Blake Shelton
Musical Event of the Year: “Old Town Road (Remix)”, Lil Nas X featuring Billy Ray Cyrus
