As nearly two-million people descended on the city of Toronto for the Raptors’ championship parade, it didn’t take long for the police to become concerned.
The shooting had people panicked and people suffering from dehydration began to put a sour note on what was supposed to be a joyous occasion.
Plus there were some missing children but when one little boy got separated from his family the crowd that found him started chanting “We found Landon,” allowing his parents to quickly locate him.

Cops in Alabama raided the apartment of a couple drug dealers on Monday, and found drugs, body armor, ammunition, and an “attack squirrel” they’d been keeping as a pet. Apparently they’d been feeding it meth to make it aggressive. The cops released it into the wild.

“Avengers: Endgame” might beat “Avatar’s” box office record after all . . . because it’s coming back to theaters next weekend with NEW FOOTAGE. But you have to wait until the end of the movie to see it as they’ve added a few things including a deleted scene and a tribute after the credits.
At the moment, “Avatar” holds the global box office record, with $2.788 billion. But “Endgame” is right behind, with $2.743 billion.
It’ll be in theaters a week from tomorrow, which is June 28th. Some people think the new footage will include tie-ins to “Spider-Man: Far From Home”, because it’s coming out just a few days later, on July 2nd.

A six-year-old in Daytona Beach named Eva Chapman recently found out one of her classmates wasn’t getting enough to eat at home.
Her school has free hot lunches for kids who can’t pay. But she was worried they’d go hungry over summer break.
So back in April, she told her mom she wanted to have a food drive, and collect jars of peanut butter and jelly for them. Because it’s one of her favorite things to eat.
And in less than two months, she’s already collected over a THOUSAND jars from people as far away as Canada.
Now it’s inspiring other people to do good. Eva’s principal says parents, students, and other schools in the area have started their own summer food drives, all because of her story.

No One Thinks Having Just $1 Million Makes You Rich Anymore
A new study asked people in different generations what your net worth has to be for you to be rich.
And not a single generation thinks just being a millionaire means you’re rich anymore.
The average answer was . . . $2.3 million. That’s more than 20 times higher than the median net worth in this country right now.
Generation Z, who are roughly nine through 22 years old, had the lowest threshold for being rich . . . they say it “only” takes $1.5 million. Baby boomers have the highest threshold, at $2.6 million.
The study also found that it takes a ton of money just to feel, quote, “financially comfortable.” The average answer for being just comfortable, not rich, was $1.1 million.

DOES SUNSCREEN REALLY EXPIRE?
Temperatures are warming up, and you might be tempted to reach for last year’s sunscreen, but think twice– sunscreen has a shelf life. Dermatologist Dr. Allison Arthur says not all sunscreens come with an expiration date, so you should check for that and write the purchase date on the bottle if necessary.
The issue is that the chemicals in your SPF can break down over time (even faster with exposure to heat) which can cause them to lose their effectiveness in filtering out or blocking out harmful UV rays. The experts say as a general rule, you should replace sunscreen after one year.
If you notice any changes in texture, or change in smell in your sunscreen it’s likely it’s expired and you should get rid of it.

The flight attendant who got punched talked to the local news. Apparently the guy was trying to open one of the airplane doors mid-flight.

David Ortiz Shooting Was a Case of Mistaken Identity
There have been a lot of rumours about why DAVID ORTIZ was shot in the Dominican Republic two weeks ago . . . but as it turns out, it was a case of mistaken identity.
The Dominican Republic’s lead prosecutor says Ortiz was not the target of the nightclub shooting on June 9th.
Authorities believe the target was another man, who was seated near Ortiz, wearing similar clothes.
It was reportedly orchestrated by a man linked to Mexico’s Gulf Cartel. He hasn’t been apprehended yet. Supposedly, he’d ordered the hit on his COUSIN, who he thought ratted him out to the police eight years ago.
A total of 11 suspects are in custody. Two others are still on the loose.
Ortiz remains hospitalized. His condition has been upgraded from “guarded” to “good,” but he’s not out of the woods yet.

CARRIE UNDERWOOD SUED OVER ‘SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL’ THEME SONG
Carrie Underwood, her producer, Mark Bright, NBC, the NFL and others are being sued for copyright infringement.
California-based singer Heidi Merrill claims that Underwood’s version of the Sunday Night Football theme was stolen directly from her song, “Game On,” which Merrill says she posted to YouTube in 2017 and submitted to Mark Bright that same year in hopes that Underwood would record it for the 2018 NFL season.
TMZ reports that Merrill was eventually told Underwood’s camp passed on using “Game On,” so she was shocked to see a new song called “Game On” being promoted for Sunday Night Football.
So far, neither Underwood’s camp nor the NFL have commented on the suit.
