Kids are known for having imaginary friends, but an Ohio woman was shocked to find an opossum living in her daughters’ closet. Caitlin Burch wrote on Twitter that the opossum lived in the closet for three days before they found it. She shared a photo of the animal lurking among the toys in the closet
At first she thought her daughters were just making up stories about the “creature” in their closet. She added that her husband released the opossum outside.

A mom in Houston says she wasn’t allowed to register her 15-year-old daughter at a new school on Monday, because of her outfit . . . meaning the outfit the MOM was wearing. She was wearing a long t-shirt as a dress, and a scarf tied around her head. A female school administrator said it violated their dress code, and wouldn’t let her on school grounds. They sent out a letter earlier this month about how parents couldn’t wear shower caps, hair rollers, pajamas, slippers, jeans with rips on the butt, low cut tops, sagging pants, and shorts or dresses that are too short.

Rami Malek has been officially unveiled as the villain in the upcoming James Bond movie. The “Bohemian Rhapsody” star’s involvement was heavily speculated, and finally announced at a special event at 007 creator Ian Fleming’s Goldeneye estate in Jamaica on Thursday. Reacting from Jamaica, star Daniel Craig joked that he was “scared” by his new screen nemesis. It is expected to be Craig’s final appearance as James Bond.

A new survey found 4 in 5 adults have had an issue with their back or neck at some point in their life. And about 1 in 6 of us have had pain for over a decade. Here are the ten most common things that make our back hurt . . .
- Lifting something heavy, or moving a bunch of stuff.
- Too much sitting.

- Standing or walking for too long.
- A bad mattress.
- Carrying groceries.

Your mom would never forget your birthday, right? Well, a mom in Michigan recently forgot how old one of her kids was, but it was a GOOD thing she did.
Antoinette Ousley lives outside Detroit. And she won a pretty sizable chunk of money in the lottery this month . . . because she screwed up her kid’s age.
Whenever she buys a ticket, she comes up with the numbers by using a combination of her kids’ ages and birth dates.
And one of her kids recently turned 20, but she forgot.
So she used 19 as one of her numbers last week . . . matched all five numbers in the drawing . . . and won 78 GRAND.
Her other kids are younger, and still live at home. So she’s planning to use the money for a down payment on a new house.

➢ A Canadian woman has been fighting a 10-year-long court battle for her right to ride escalators without holding the handrail.
In 2009, Bela Kosoian was riding an escalator at a subway station in Laval, PQ when a police officer told her to respect a pictogram on the escalator that said “Caution, hold the handrail”.
When she refused to obey, she ended up with a $100 ticket for refusing to hold the rail and another $320 for failing to identify herself. After being acquitted in court, she filed her own lawsuit against the city, arguing that she was not obligated to hold the handrail.
She has so far lost twice in Quebec courts, but the case was heard by the Supreme Court of Canada last week. A decision is not expected for six months.

➢ A Florida road crew should get a failing grade for misspelling the word “school” in a pedestrian crosswalk in Doral. Workers ended up botching their spelling assignment, painting the letters “S-C-O-H-O-L”. A motorist noticed the error and after news reports picked up on the mistake, the city tweeted that the private contractor had corrected it.

Robot vacuum cleaners have been a thing for long enough now, that you have to wonder: When are they going to come up with a decent robot lawn mower?
Well, it’s not for lack of trying. Last week, iRobot, the company behind the Roomba, unveiled their “flat square autonomous grass-cutter” after more than 15 years or prototypes, experiments and conflicts with radio astronomers. It turns out that teaching a robot to navigate a typical uneven yard filled with obstacles, and without destroying its flowerbeds, was harder than it first seemed.
While many European countries are able to use robot mowers which take advantage of a perimeter of boundary wires, that wasn’t practical for the larger, meandering lawns typical in North America. They finally won permission from the FCC in the U.S. to use ultra-wide bandwidth as a way to provide navigation.
The robot will use a quiet, electric-power motor with twin mulching blades which will can be programmed to do its duties from a phone app, and return to its dock to charge when it is done.

Just 16 Minutes of Less Sleep Can Ruin Your Entire Day
Next time you’re debating whether to binge watch one more episode of a TV show or go to bed . . . hopefully you’ll remember this and GO TO BED.
According to a new study out of the University of South Florida, missing out on a very small amount of sleep can wreck the entire next day.
The researchers found that people who got just 16 MINUTES less sleep than usual had a tough time focusing and processing information the next day.
It was mostly true on work days, when people had to do a bunch of stuff they weren’t excited about.
On weekends, the effect was smaller . . . people who missed out on a few minutes of sleep didn’t have as much trouble focusing. So if you’re going to stay up late, do it on the weekends.

MADDIE & TAE RELEASE NEW EP TODAY – (04/26/2019)
Maddie & Tae release a new EP today (Friday, April 26th) called One Heart To Another. The five-song collection features “Friends Don’t,” “Tourist in This Town,” “New Dogs Old Tricks,” the title track and their brand new single, “Die From a Broken Heart.”
Maddie Marlow and Taylor “Tae” Dye largely co-wrote the entire project which they tell us they are excited to finally get out to fans seeing as their last album, Start Here, was released in 2015. Did You See Chris Stapleton’s Cameo on “Game of Thrones”?
If you watched every single second of “Game of Thrones” on Sunday . . . and I know you did . . . then you saw CHRIS STAPLETON, even if you didn’t realize it.
He played a Wildling-turned-White-Walker, and there was a brief shot of him on the ground as Jon Snow attempts to charge the Night King outside of Winterfell. Chris’s wife Morgane posted a photo and a clip.
Chris talked about how it happened. Quote, “I was like, I would gladly fly to wherever in the world just to be a small part and get to watch that show going down. They were gracious enough to let me come participate that way.”
Even though he barely moved, he did get coached on his Hollywood moment. Quote, “They knew we weren’t actors. So the direction was basically, ‘we’re going to place you, and when we tell you to, open your eyes.’
“And they trained us on how White Walkers are supposed to stand up and move when they’re first waking up. We had a crash course in that.” Chris’s bass player and tour manager were also in it.

BLAKE SHELTON, LUKE BRYAN TO CHRISTEN NEW OLE RED VENUE IN OKLAHOMA –
Blake Shelton‘s hometown of Tishomingo, OK will be home to an establishment called The Doghouse at Ole Red Tishomingo, a music hall and events venue expansion to Blake’s bar and restaurant.
Luke Bryan and Blake will help celebrate The Doghouse’s grand opening, with Luke taking the stage on Thursday, May 23rd followed by Blake on Friday, May 24th. Grand opening weekend will also include performances by NBC’s The Voice Contestant Red Marlow on Saturday, May.
Proceeds from the ticket sales for both Luke and Blake’s shows will benefit the Oklahoma Wildlife Conservation Foundation where Shelton is a board member.
