An eight-year-old boy in North Carolina was with his family in Utah recently, when he suddenly had to have surgery on a brain tumor.
Luckily, he’s okay. But he missed his dog Frank, so a complete stranger who heard the story volunteered to drive Frank 2,300 miles to reunite them.

There’s a 42-year-old woman named Heather Carpenter in Sarasota, Florida, and she works as a substitute teacher at an elementary school. And apparently she had a problem with the principal at the school, who’s a woman named Allison Foster.
Well . . . last month, Heather knew Allison was throwing a birthday party for her daughter at a park. And Heather knew because her daughter was in the same class, and was invited.
So to mess up the party, Heather went to the park earlier in the day . . . and rubbed HUMAN POOP all over the picnic tables and the grill.
Anyway, she wound up doing $2,300 in damage to the park, so she was arrested for damaging property and criminal mischief.

Double Dipping Versus the Five-Second Rule . . . Which Is Worse?
If you double dip a chip, you contaminate the bowl of dip with bacteria. If you drop food on the ground, pick it up, and eat it thanks to the five-second rule, it’s also got bacteria on it. But which of those moves is RISKIER?
According to a new study by a food scientist . . . a bowl of dip where someone’s double dipped is filled with MORE bacteria than the average floor.
He found that when you dip a chip into a double dipped bowl, it picks up WAY more bacteria than you would if someone hadn’t double dipped.
And since those are germs that go from person to person, we’re talking things like the cold, flu, coughs, and more.
But when you drop something on the floor and quickly pick it up, it’s actually transferring less bacteria than you think . . . because, quote, “most surfaces are not going to have any kind of dangerous bacteria there.”
One more thing: Surprisingly enough, he found that when you drop food on CARPET, it picks up fewer germs than on tile or wood floors. And he says it’s because the carpet actually ABSORBS a lot of bacteria.

There’s a woman near Dallas named Janet Fein. And she just graduated from college recently at the age of EIGHTY-FOUR.
She retired from her job as a secretary in 2012, and didn’t know what to do with herself. But she says playing BINGO every night was too boring for her.
So she signed up for classes at the University of Texas, with a major in sociology. And she never gave up on it.
She had to start using a walker a few years ago . . . has an oxygen tank now . . . and recently moved into an assisted-living center.
But she stayed in school the whole time, and now has a bachelor’s degree in sociology to show for it.
One of the caregivers at her senior center is a woman named Renee Brown. And the whole thing has inspired HER to do the same thing. At 53, she’s heading back to school to become a licensed nurse.

Couple is Suing Lifetime for Calling Their Family “Ugly” in One of Their Christmas Movies
Lifetime holiday movies are supposed to uplift us and fill us with joy. But one that aired back in November was a huge lump of coal for one couple.
Their names are Setiam and Katherine Allah, and here’s how Lifetime helped ruin their Christmas . . .
Setiam and Katherine took a photo with their kid to send out as a Christmas card, as many families do. And somehow, someone at Lifetime got a hold of it, and used it in the movie “Christmas Harmony”.
In the scene, a woman wants to put that card and another one up on the fridge, because she thinks they’re “festive.” But her guy tells her not to because, quote, “They’re ugly.”
The Allahs say they were embarrassed when friends and family started calling to tell them they were in the movie. They obviously didn’t give Lifetime permission to use the photo, and have no idea how they even got it.
They’re suing for all the movie’s profits.

The really big cooking trend for 2019 just might be…foil pack dinners!
Searches for foil pack dinners, also known as “tin foil dinners”, and sometimes as “hobo dinners”, are up over 200% this winter, and are said to be perfect for busy cooks, because they don’t involve a lot of prep, they are low-mess, flavorful, and can be very nutritious.
If you aren’t familiar with the routine, cooking a foil pack dinner is a pretty simple process: dump some ingredients in tinfoil, bake (or grill), and serve.
And you can prep the packets ahead of time so all you have to do at dinnertime is toss them in the oven.

Loretta took part in a press conference at the Grand Ole Opry yesterday (Monday, January 14th) to announce the news, where she was surprised by Garth Brooks and was presented with a cake decorated with a picture of herself and the names of all the artists taking part in the event. The cake’s icing was done in her favorite color, lavendar.
Loretta will be 87 this year, but she’s definitely not slowing down career-wise she’s nominated for Best Country Solo Performance for “Wouldn’t It Be Great?” at next month’s Grammy Awards. She said it’s the last song she wrote for her late husband.
Willie Nelson and George Strait Performed Together for the First Time on Saturday
This might make your jaw drop. WILLIE NELSON and GEORGE STRAIT had never performed together . . . until Saturday. They finally did it at the “Willie: Life & Songs of an American Outlaw” tribute show in Nashville.
To make up for lost time, they did a brand-new song called “Sing One With Willie”. They co-wrote it with a couple of songwriters and it’ll be on George’s upcoming album, “Honky Tonk Time Machine”.
The concert was packed with guest stars . . . including Chris Stapleton, Eric Church, Emmylou Harris, Jimmy Buffett, Jamey Johnson, Margo Price, Alison Krauss, and Vince Gill. It’ll air on A&E sometime later this year.
