Good News

Two unnamed individuals rescued a couple of deer after they fell through the ice Saturday morning, January 28th.

The deer were close to shore when a dog scared them out into Rondeau Bay, just north of Rondeau Provincial Park.

Two individuals who lived nearby noticed the deer and took action.

After realizing the deer were exhausted and could no longer move, the two individuals created a channel by breaking the ice.

The deer were able to make it back to shore after being stuck for over three hours.

The individuals wish to stay anonymous.
