Good News

1. A Virginia woman had gone to the store to buy some Tylenol when she decided to pick up a scratch-off lottery ticket too, and it ended up being a $100,000 winner.
Dakota McNeill told lottery officials that the headache she was getting the Tylenol for had been so bad she even took off work that day, and she was in total shock when she saw she’d won the grand prize.

She said, “I looked at it. I switched my glasses. My knees got wobbly.” The odds of winning $100,000 from the 10X the Money scratch-off are 1 in 2,366.400. McNeill didn’t say what she was going to do with her winnings.

2. A disabled veteran in Florida named Tavaris Washington just got his service dog back after it went missing last month.

The dog ended up in a shelter, and someone adopted him a few days later.

At first, it sounded like Tavaris might not get him back. But local police helped iron it out, and he’s home now.
