Good News

1. How’s this for a trifecta? Firefighters in Massachusetts saved a dog from a house fire the other day. Meanwhile, firefighters in Ireland saved a kitten after it got stuck on someone’s roof. And firefighters in Florida saved a bunch of ducklings that fell in a storm drain.

2. A website called Preply added a feature that lets you send notes of encouragement to people in Ukraine, and it automatically translates them into Ukrainian.
You can also read what other people have written. And there’s a map that shows where all the messages are coming from. People in 115 different countries have already sent notes in more than 80 different languages.

3. A bomber jacket from World War II, that was accidentally left behind at a Washington restaurant in the 1950s, was returned to the daughter of its original owner more than 60 years later. Here is Pat Nesbitt, who has had the jacket since he was 5-years-old, and the original owner’s daughter, Teri Sargent, talking about the journey this jacket has been on.
