Jelly Roll To Pay Students Loans For Two Fans In Winnipeg
Jelly Roll has pledged to pay off the student loans of two University of Manitoba students, Deandra Courchene and Brianna Knott.
Noticing the signs, Jelly Roll announced from the stage, “You don’t got student loans no more, girls. We’re gonna pay them off for y’all, alright?”
They both social work students, expressed their astonishment and gratitude.
Courchene, a mother of four, mentioned her growing concern about repaying over $60,000 in loans upon graduation.
“I was really starting to worry about paying that money back and now I don’t have to.”
The students have coordinated with Jelly Roll’s management, agreeing to complete their studies as part of the arrangement. Courchene is set to graduate in 2026, and Knott in 2027.
