Alan Jackson FINALLY Explains What A “Hoochie Coochie” Is

By: Cheryl Johnstone

Country Music News

“Chattahoochee” is one of Alan Jackson’s biggest hits, but he was reluctant to put it out because he didn’t know if people would relate.

Even Waylon Jennings asked him, quote, “What the hell is a Chattahoochee?”

Well, here’s the answer, directly from songwriter Jim McBride: A hoochie-coochie is . . . a county fair strip show.
