Have you ever wondered what a country star thinks moments before they go on stage?

Ashley McBryde just broke down all her pre-show thoughts in a TikTok and it confirms why she’s one of the coolest in the business.

You can hear the band playing through the curtains, as Ashley is jumping up and down in the dark. Then the interior monologue begins with, “Alright you gotta bounce, you gotta stay moving. That’s how you keep your energy up. This is why we do cardio.”

Then the band starts to play and she says, “Okay the boys are killing it, all the notes are gonna be there.” Then she adds in a little positive self-affirmation, “Just trust yourself, you can trust them. You’re about to have a great time.”

At this point the band crescendos and she jams along to the song screaming, “Wah ah ah ah.” Then she says, “Alright energy’s up. Stand up straight.”

And finally, there’s time for one more check, “Okay now fix your hair . . . and walk to the stage.”
