As A Kid, Lainey Wilson Wrote Songs About Tequila And Cigarettes
If Lainey Wilson ever writes a book, she better include some of the song lyrics she came up with as a kid, because they sound awesome.
She had stories to tell about tequila and cigarettes.
She talked about it in an interview with “American Songwriter”.
“We didn’t even have tequila or cigarettes in the house, but it’s because I was listening to adult conversations. I was eavesdropping. I was watching TV. I was listening to country radio. I was thinking about things that I didn’t even really know what they were, but I knew that it sounded good. It’s crazy because I still write about those things. I know what they are now.”
Lainey also said she didn’t start writing love songs until her late 20s. She’s 31 now.
The inspiration hit when she started dating her current boyfriend, former NFL player Devlin “Duck” Hodges.
There’s no word when the new music will be out.
