Maren Morris Halfway Done New Album
Maren Morris is more than halfway done with her next studio album.
She said it’s quite different from 2019’s Girl.
“It’s a really uplifting record. I think I’m in a much lighter place in my life. I think that I’ve written the most just intimate songs. My last record was very pop-leaning and I think with this one I’m sort of coming back to this Texas rootsy style. It just feels like me but a very stripped down version of me, but it’s still extremely fun and energetic, so this would be a good record to drive to, to get ready to go out for a Saturday night to or even like cook to, it kind of like hits all those marks.”
In the meantime, Maren is featured on her husband, Ryan Hurd’s, latest single, “Chasing After You”, which they recently performed on Late Night With Seth Meyers.
