Dan Davidson To Host Hotel Balcony Concert
Ever since the COVID-19 put a stop to summer music festivals, fans have been wondering when mass shows will restart.
The Diesel Bird Group is producing a live, in-person country music festival, and it fully complies with Alberta Health Services regulations on safe social distancing in public places.
Hosted by co-creator Dan Davidson, the inaugural Hotel Balcony Music Festival takes place Friday, August 7th at the Ramada Plaza Downtown in Calgary.
By design, the Ramada has an outdoor pool with a stage at one end. Overlooking the pool are six stories of approximately 100 private rooms with balconies.
Performers include Clayton Bellamy, Andrew Hyatt, JoJo Mason, and Shawn Austin.
50% of the revenue will be directed to artists and the other 50% going to the Unison Benevolent Fund, a non-profit, registered charity that provides counselling and financial assistance during emergency times to professional music makers.
