Reba McEntire is mourning the loss of her mother, Jacqueline, who died on Saturday, March 14th at the age of 93.

Reba shared the sad news on social media writing in part, “Our Mother, Jacqueline McEntire, made that wonderful cross over into Heaven today. She had a wonderful, full, healthy life and was absolutely ready to go. The cancer might think it won the battle but we’re giving God all the credit on selecting the time for her to go home to Him.”

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be sent to the Reba McEntire Fund to benefit the Jacqueline McEntire Library Fund. Donations can be made online at Texoma Giving Partners or mailed to The Reba McEntire Fund, 5036 Reba Drive, Denison, Texas, 75020. In the memo line please write “Jacqueline McEntire”.

Jacqueline is survived by her four children — Reba, Susie, Pake and Alice. Her husband, Clark, died in October 2014 at the age of 86.

In other Reba news, she has decided to postpone her arena tour originally scheduled to launch this weekend.

The newly rescheduled dates open on July 9th in Huntsville, AL and wrap on August 8th in Evansville, IN. Previously purchased tickets will be honoured for all dates. Reba said,

“For the safety of everyone, we have decided to postpone our new arena tour until July. All tickets will be honoured for the new dates. Most importantly, stay safe and take care of you and your loved ones. We’ll get through this together.”
