Carrie Underwood has said that 2017 was a really tough year, and now we know why. In addition to that horrible fall she suffered outside her Nashville area home, the superstar opened up to CBS Sunday Morning on Sunday, September 16th about having suffered three miscarriages over the last two years, including one early in 2018.

An emotional Carrie told Tracy Smith about the painful experiences and how she eventually questioned God. She said,

“I had always been afraid to be angry because we are so blessed, and my son, Isaiah, is the sweetest thing. And he’s the best thing in the world. And I’m like, ‘If we can never have any other kids, that’s OK, because he’s amazing.’ And I have this amazing life. Like, really, what can I complain about? I can’t. I have an incredible husband, incredible friends, an incredible job, an incredible kid. Can I be mad? No. And I got mad.”

Of course, Carrie is now pregnant with her second child with husband Mike Fisher. While she hasn’t announced a due date or the baby’s gender, she is waiting to start her new Cry Pretty 360 tour until May.

Her new album, also called Cry Pretty, was released on Friday, September 14th.
