Bourdeau, Wanda Irene A resident of Chatham, formerly of Tilbury, passed peacefully at Maple City Residence on Thursday July 9, 2015 at the age of 86.

Born in Ellerton, Ohio, daughter of the late Ester and John Grossnickle, wife of the late William Bourdeau (2001). Beloved mother of Susan Moynahan (2014), John (Mary Jane) Bourdeau, Ipperwash, Bill Bourdeau, Tilbury, Rebecca (Robert) Chapple, R.R.#8 Chatham, Margaret “Peggy” (Robert) Wright, Chatham, Paul (Charlene) (late Nancy) Bourdeau, Chatham, Pam Bourdeau, London. Proud grandma of 20 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Sister of Emma (2014) and Everett Cline, Farmersville, Ohio. Special friend of Leroy Carbough, late Ruth of Ohio, and Lynda and Francis Montminy (Tilbury). Sister in law of the late Paul and Marg Bourdeau, the late Annette and Edwin Schramek, Vince (Loretta) Bourdeau (Charing Cross), and Anne (Larry) Robert, Windsor. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. For many years, Wanda supported her husband at Bourdeau’s Supermarket. Later, she worked as a waitress, fabric store clerk and factory labourer. Her many interests included family historian, storyteller, seamstress, baker and the occasional trip to the casino. Wanda’s strongest passion was her role as the Matriarch to such a large clan. Memorial visitation at St. Francis Xavier Church, Tilbury from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Memorial Mass to commence at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, July 20, 2015. Interment at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Wanda would be greatly appreciated to the Canadian Cancer Society, The Heart and Stroke Foundation, Chatham-Kent Mental Health Association or the Chatham-Kent Hospice.
