The Grammy nominations have been announced

The Grammy nominees were announced yesterday and Jay-Z has more than anyone with eight.  Kendrick Lamar and Bruno Mars are next with seven and six.  Jay-Z was recognized in three of the big categories:  Album, Song, and Record of the Year.  CBS will air the ceremony on January 28th.

This year’s Grammy nominees have been announced, and Jay-Z has more than anyone with eight.  Kendrick Lamar is next with seven . . . followed by Bruno Mars with six, and Childish Gambino, Khalid, producer No I.D., and SZA, all with five apiece.

There won’t be an #OscarsSoWhite-like controversy at the Grammys . . . because for the second straight year, the five most-nominated artists are black.

And for the FIRST time in Grammy history, no white men are nominated for Album of the Year.  Jay-Z, Kendrick Lamar, Bruno Mars, Childish Gambino, and Lorde are up for the award.
