Comedian STEPHEN RANNAZZISI  has admitted he’s been lying for years about escaping from the World Trade Center on 9/11.

He plays Kevin on “The League”, and he’s also been in “Paul Blart: Mall Cop”, and some Buffalo Wild Wings commercials.

Six years ago, HE SAID HE worked for Merrill Lynch on the 54th floor of the second tower at the time of the attacks.

The “Times” confronted Stephen with this, and he came clean . . . quote, “I was not at the Trade Center on that day. I don’t know why I said this. This was inexcusable. I am truly, truly sorry.”

And if you care, Buffalo Wild Wings is, quote, “currently re-evaluating [their] relationship with Steve pending a review of all the facts.” (Here’s UNCENSORED audio from that 2009 podcast. The part about 9/11 begins at the 24:30 mark.)

Actor Pete Davidson from “Saturday Night Live” lost his firefighter dad in 9/11. He sarcastically Tweeted, quote, “It’s okay, Steve. People make mistakes. Can’t wait to meet my dad for lunch later.” Stephen missed the point, and Tweeted back, quote, “Thank you Pete. I really appreciate it.”
