Katy Perry Has Registered ‘1984,’ Presumably a Taylor Swift Diss Track
The Internet REALLY wants to see a knockdown, drag-out fight between KATY PERRY and TAYLOR SWIFT . . . and everyone MAY get their wish.
Katy has registered a new song called “1984”, which could be the answer to Taylor’s dis track, “Bad Blood”, from her album “1989”.
We don’t know anything about “1984” . . . but people think it’s an attack because it’s the year Katy was born, like how 1989 was when Taylor entered the world.
There’s been speculation that Katy’s anti-Taylor song will be co-written by her on-again, off-again boyfriend JOHN MAYER, who dated Taylor before he hooked up with Katy. But John is not listed as a songwriter on “1984”.
That isn’t the reason they’re fighting though. Supposedly, their feud is over Katy stealing some of Taylor’s back-up dancers.
Of course, this could be much ado about nothing. Maybe “1984” is just Katy’s response to the novel “1984”, about our modern, Orwellian life under surveillance.
