I stalked many people to get this video and I’m proud. #carrieunderwood #keithurban

Keith uses a video of Carrie singing her part of “The Fighter’ while on his current Graffiti U tour, but that’s not always an option during live performances and he says that thankfully, people love to take on her part.

“What I hoped about ‘The Fighter’ was that it was gonna be a good crowd song. I thought, ‘I think the audience will sing Carrie’s part every night,’ and we’ve played a couple of little corporate shows over the last year where we didn’t have a video thing of Carrie which is what we do now, and so there was nobody. There was nobody in the audience to sing and I just went, ‘I’ll just get the whole audience to sing,’ and everybody sang her part and we were able to do the song by the call and response, which was fantastic.”

In other Keith news, he will be an advisor to Blake Shelton during the battle rounds of the new season of NBC’s The Voice, set to air in September.
