Dustin Lynch’s New Album Is Out
Dustin Lynch’s third studio album, Current Mood, arrives at retail today, Friday, September 8th. The 13-song project features the chart-topping hit, “Seein’ Red,” and his current Top Two hit, “Small Town Boy.”
Current Mood is very personal for Dustin, who says he titled the album after the many places, experiences and people who inspired the songs.
“I never want to name an album til after it’s done and the songs are decided and when I step back . . . I narrowed my list of like a hundred down to four, and I stepped back and looked at these 13 songs and was like, ‘Okay, what is this piece of work,’ and as I looked each song was about an event, a place, an adventure, a certain someone, and I’m like, ‘Okay, what does this mean,’ then I start looking going, ‘Man, I didn’t choose the songs, they chose me,’ and each of these songs kind of has made me the guy I am right now and in the place I am right now where I’m single, I’m having fun, I’m learning to become a better me. And I’m like, ‘So, this is who I am currently and . . . what the hell — Current Mood (laughs), you know? It just kind of hit.”
Dustin will share songs from his Current Mood album with fans in Charlottle, NC tonight. He’s on tour with headliner Brad Paisley and opening acts Lindsay Ell and Chase Bryant.
