Brad Paisley’s New Album Out Today
Brad Paisley admits he had no idea what direction he was headed in with his 11th studio album. He started with one theme that wound up being put on the backburner, but he says there were a few definite ideas that were non-negotiable for what came together as Love And War:
“On this record, I didn’t know where I was headed when I started. I didn’t know where the maze would wind up. I only knew that I wanted to . . . I knew of a stylistic record. I wanted a very Country album. I feel like this is one of my countrier albums, but at the same time I wanted to collaborate with people that you wouldn’t think of as Country, but I wanted them to come to me and the trick being that with somebody like John Fogerty or Mick Jagger, those guys, you don’t think of them as Country artists but they really are some of the founding father of whatever it is we’re listening to today, so as we would write and write and write it sort of became a puzzle. The maze just kept winding and it took a year longer than I thought to make this album.”
Brad also stopped by The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon last night to help sing tweet about 4/20.
