Concert For The Cure At Opry

Jason Aldean holds his 11th annual “Concert for the Cure” as part of the eighth annual “Opry Goes Pink” on Tuesday, October 25th at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville. In addition to flipping the switch on the Opry’s signature barn backdrop turning it pink for the Opry’s two shows tonight, Jason will take the stage to perform and raise awareness and funds for Women Rock for the Cure, a Nashville-based non-profit committed to connecting and supporting young women facing breast cancer, and Susan G. Komen’s Nashville Chapter.

This is the first time Jason has hosted his Concert For The Cure in Music City, something he’s excited to finally get to do.

“Every year we do our Concert For the Cure and pick a show in October cause it’s breast cancer awareness month and, you know, we take proceeds from every ticket sold throughout the course of the show at our shows, so every ticket that’s sold at every show we take a piece of that and put it into a pot that goes to Susan G. Komen at the end of the year and depending on what city we’re in. I mean, this year we decided to bring it back to Nashville and partner up with the Grand Ole Opry and do it there at the Opry and kind of change it up a little bit and make sure that all that money sort of goes to our community here in Nashville for the first time, so we’re excited and excited to be back home and be able to partner with obviously the Opry and be able to kind of shake it up a little bit this year and do something a little different. To finally have it here in Nashville is gonna be fun.”

Other acts on the Opry bill tonight include Chris Young, Montgomery Gentry and Lady Antebellum’s Hillary Scott.

Jason has been an avid supporter towards the fight against breast cancer since 2004 after losing a dear friend to the disease.
