Patsy Cline Hologam To Go On Tour
More than 50 years after her death in a plane crash, Patsy Cline will go on tour. The late singer will perform for fans in 2016 via hologram.
Billboard reports that Hologram USA, the company that brought Tupac Shakur back to life at Coachella in 2012, is working with Cline’s estate for the tour, which will include “performance, commentary and audience interaction.” Cline is the first female hologram.
Hologram USA CEO Alki David,
“We debuted our hologram technology to the Country music world with Jimmy Kimmel at the Country Music Awards. Now Patsy Cline will demonstrate how we can bring all the warmth and virtuosity of a true icon back for new audiences. We chose Patsy as our first Country hologram project, and our first female hologram project, for a reason: she was a pioneer who influenced generations of singers around the globe.”
Cline was the first female inductee into the Country Music Hall Of Fame. She was killed in a plane crash in 1963 near Camden, Tennessee.
