ZBB Album Inspired by Live Show

Zac Brown Band’s new album, Jekyll + Hyde, was largely inspired by their live show. The guys take on all different genres of music in concert, which Zac Brown says runs the gamut from country to heavy metal.

“You know, our live show, which is really kind of how all this started, is very diverse, and when you come to see our live show we’ll play really broken down acoustic music with harmony and stories and country songs and we’ll play some heavy metal at some part in the show, and so the people that have come to our shows, they let us curate their music for the evening, and when you look out and you see a 75-year-old grandma that’s out there in the crowd getting down to some Metallica we know they’ve come to our show to be open to that and this is just an extension of that into our albums.”

Zac Brown Band has already topped the Country and Rock charts with two songs on Jekyll + Hyde — “Homegrown” and “Heavy Is The Head” featuring Chris Cornell, respectively.

The Jekyll + Hyde tour heads to Missouri, Ohio and Pennsylvania this weekend.
