Keith & Eric Swap Music

Keith Urban and Eric Church’s hit duet, “Raise ‘Em Up,” was born out of a friendship based on a mutual love of music. The two started to get to know each other over the past few years, and one thing that bonded them was sharing music that the other one may not have heard. Keith says:

“Chief was one of my favorite records over the last, easily over the last 10 years, if not more. Just top to bottom, it’s just a great, great record. So, we became friends…our families, our wives and stuff would go out and have dinner, and he’d be turning me on to new music, and I’d be texting him about something, ‘You’ve got to listen to (1975’s) Bankrupt by Dr. Hook.’ We’re trying to hip each other to records that we love that the other guy hasn’t heard. That sort of banter started happening fairly regularly, and I thought I’d really like to do something with Eric on my record, if I find the right song. And this song called ‘Raise ‘Em Up’ came along.”

“Raise ‘Em Up,” the fifth single from Keith’s latest album, Fuse, is slated to hit the top of the country charts.
