Eric Paslay Gets Married
Eric Paslay and Natalie Harker became husband and wife on Sunday, April 26th at Front Porch Farms in Charlotte, Tennessee in front of 200 guests. People.com reports that Natalie wore a champagne Vera Wang dress, while Eric selected a custom-made black suit that featured pin-stitching details.
The reception featured a dance floor, a “side yard with cornhole boards, farm tables and beautiful quilts adorning the lawn, and bistro tables lining the pool area.” Natalie herself did the flowers for the wedding, which included yellow spray roses, feverfew and wildflowers.
Mr. and Mrs. Paslay had their first dance to Frank Sinatra’s “Moonlight Serenade.” Eric’s grandfather and his brothers played in band by that name.
Eric and Natalie are reportedly headed to Italy for their honeymoon.
Meanwhile, Eric Paslay’s hit, “She Don’t Love You,” was co-written by the singer. He penned the song with Jen Wayne, the granddaughter of the legendary John Wayne, and Eric tells us that when they sat down to write they were intending the song for another legend.
“We were initially trying to write a song for George Strait, ‘cause he had just announced that he was doing The Cowboy Rides Away tour. And Jen Wayne’s grandfather is John Wayne, so she knows a lot about cowboys. So, we were trying to just write that song, and we didn’t quite have it, and I think she said, ‘She Don’t Love You,’ and I said, ‘Yeah, she’s just lonely.’ Just kind of joking around or something, and 45 minutes later, we’d written ‘She Don’t Love You.’ I’m proud to have a great ballad. I believe it’s probably the best ballad I’ve ever been a part of writing-wise.”
“She Don’t Love You” is from Eric’s self-titled debut album.
