“Modern Family” is coming to an end next May, but that doesn’t mean the adventures of the Dunphy and Pritchett family are over. In a new interview, Ariel Winter said she would be open to making a series following the further adventures of her character, middle child Alex Dunphy. Winter’s comments come at the same time that she is pursuing her dream of taking on more dramatic projects, such as her recent appearance on “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit”.

“The Walking Dead” has been picked up for an 11th season, with recently departed star
Lauren Cohan, who plays ‘Maggie’, set to return as a series regular. Cohan departed the series last year amid a period of significant cast turnover on the zombie drama. The latest season just started this past Sunday.

Did Brett Favre Hurt His Mental Health By Repeatedly Coming Out of Retirement?
Ten years ago it seemed like BRETT FAVRE would NEVER quit football. He spent every offseason retiring, then coming OUT of retirement, and it quickly became a joke.
Now, with the new data on concussions, CTE, and the effect of football injuries on your brain, he’s wondering if he should have known when to quit.
On a recent podcast, Brett said he “absolutely” wonders if he played too long.
He said he didn’t remember some of the stories the interviewer brought up, and naturally, he’s concerned about that.
Quote, “There was a point in my life where I remembered everything . . . a story I should know . . . I have no recollection of it. It bugs me. It makes me wonder.”
On the books, Brett suffered “three or four concussions” in his career. But he took a lot more hits that would be considered concussions today.
He said, quote, “When you have ringing of the ears, seeing stars, that’s a concussion. And if that’s a concussion, then I’ve had hundreds, probably thousands, throughout my career, which is frightening.”
Brett says a doctor reached out to him after his retirement and wanted to examine him for signs of CTE. And he told the guy, quote, “No disrespect. But I’d rather not know.”
All that said, Brett is glad that he played and, in the podcast he insisted he, quote, “wouldn’t trade any of it . . . the good and the bad.”

GOOD NEWS
A video of a homeless opera singer belting out a song in an L.A. subway station went viral this week. And it’s already completely changed her life . . .
Her name is Emily Zamourka. She’s originally from Russia. And she used to make money playing her VIOLIN on the street. Then some jerk tried to steal it and broke it. Which was a big deal, because it was worth about TEN GRAND.
It was also how she made a living. So her only choice was to start singing for money. And it turns out she has a great voice too.
A cop in L.A. happened to see her in the subway recently. Then the LAPD posted the video on Twitter, and it blew up. A reporter in L.A. tracked her down. And she was shocked when someone told her she’d been on TV.
Since then, she’s found a place to stay . . . someone’s giving her a new violin . . . and someone started a Go Fund Me that’s raised a ton of money already. As of last night, it was over $76,000.
Good News Update: She had her first gig the other day at a Little Italy festival, and got paid $700 for it. PLUE a Grammy-winning producer wants to work with her.

A recent survey asked people if they enjoy being alone. And only 7% said they HATE it. But do you behave the same way the rest of us do when no one else is around? Here are seven questions, and how people answered them . . .
- Do you ever talk to yourself when you’re alone? 85% said yes.
- Do you pick your nose if you feel like it? 87% do.
- Do you pee with the door open? 73% said yeah, why not.
- When you’re alone and angry, do you ever practice arguing? 71% said yes. And 76% of us also have full-blown conversations with our pets.
- Do you ever make yourself CRY while you’re alone, because it just feels like you need to? 50% of people have done it.
- Do you ever drink straight out of a milk carton if no one’s looking? 53% of us have.
- Do you ever smell your armpits, and sort of enjoy it? 52% said yes.

A company is selling a WEARABLE CHAIR that straps to the back of your legs and butt, and automatically folds out when you sit down.
It’s called the LEX chair, and they got funding for it on Kickstarter last year.
And they claim you can do normal activities while you’re wearing one, even running.
The company behind them also claims they promote perfect posture . . . protect your knees and back . . . and that being able to sit down anywhere will revolutionize the way people work.
They’re available for preorder through their website, but they’re pretty expensive at $400 EACH. The company’s planning to start shipping them in December, just in time for Christmas.

A FRIEND INDEED:
A clinical psychologist says that binge watching “Friends” can help ease anxiety.
Dr. Mark Hekster says that having worked for over 20 years with those experiencing anxiety, he has concluded that among other factors, the repetitive and relational nature of programs such as “Friends” and “Big Bang Theory” helps sufferers escape their symptoms.
He says watching the characters repeatedly experience problems and worries, which then are repaired, is “pure escapism” and that is soothing to viewers.
He points out that although the outcome of every show is seemingly the same, it is that very repetition that people know they can depend on, which in the long run, is comforting to those who suffer from anxiety.

- A 93-year-old named Howard Fisher has lived in Florida for about 20 years. And he lived in Alabama before that. But he hadn’t been in the ocean since he was much, much younger. So his daughter got a special wheelchair for the beach, and took him to swim in the Gulf of Mexico for the first time. It’s a great reminder to stop and make sure you enjoy the little things in life.
- Nate Bargatze says he no longer rides a bike, because now he’s a grown up. He told a guy on a bike to do get his life together and get a car.

KEITH URBAN TAPS BLAKE SHELTON, LUKE COMBS FOR ‘ALL FOR THE HALL’ BENEFIT
Keith Urban will return with the seventh All For The Hall concert to benefit Nashville’s Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum on February 10th at the Bridgestone Arena. The event, dubbed “All For The Hall: Under The Influence,” will include performances by Chris Stapleton, Tanya Tucker, Blake Shelton, Luke Combs, Brothers Osborne, Tenille Townes, Ingrid Andress and Lauren Daigle. Additional artists are expected to be announced.
To go with the theme of the evening, each artist will perform a song recorded by an artist whose music had a strong influence on them, as well as one of their own hits.
Keith tells us that having a theme each year really helps keep the lineup at All For The Hall from getting out of control. [“It’s a labor of love in the best way. It really is. If I say there’s only one challenge to it is condensing the guest list. Right from the beginning it was like putting a wedding guest list together and which family member . . . you have to either invite everybody or elope. But we’ve only got limited time, and it’s very, very hard to have certain people who are very good friends of mine say, ‘What the? What the? Waiting on the call and nothing.’ So, I thought how do I get around this problem, and then the idea of themes came up, so at least there was some type of criteria to be able to put a guest list together. Otherwise, this show would be days and days long if I invited everybody I wanted.”]
FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE TAKE GREAT SONGWRITING ADVICE TO HEART
Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley of Florida Georgia Line are as known for their stellar songwriting these days as they are for being a hit-making duo. When it comes to writing the best songs, Brian says he picked up some valuable advice while attending college at Belmont University. It came from a Country Music Hall of Famer who has written dozens of hits, including “The Gambler,” “Forever and Ever Amen” and “When You Say Nothing at All.”
Brian tells us: [“Best songwriting advice I ever got at Belmont was from Don Schlitz and he said there’s a conversation in every song, all you have to do is listen. (Tyler) Or there’s a song in every conversation, you just have to listen. (Brian) Either way. (Tyler) That’s why we’re a duo. (Brian) Exactly.”]
MIDLAND’S MARK WYSTRACH IS NOW MARRIED
On Tuesday (October 8) Midland’s Mark Wystrach married his girlfriend, Ty Haney. She’s the CEO of Texas-based clothing brand, Outdoor Voices. She and Mark both posted wedding photos on Instagram showing off their wedding rings.
The couple met last year after she messaged him on Instagram and said, “Let’s hang!” He responded and they met at a restaurant. The wedding was a casual, low-key event in Austin, Texas.
