And it turned out those women were . . . house cleaners who went to the wrong house. Yes, in a Canadian break-in, you get your house cleaned. Anyway, the cops are reminding people to lock their doors.

How good are you about washing your pet’s food and water bowls? Because apparently, we don’t do it nearly enough . . .
According to experts, you should be washing them EVERY DAY in hot, soapy water, then letting them dry before you use them again.
According to the National Sanitation Foundation, food and water bowls are one of the top five most germ-covered spots in most homes. And it doesn’t just affect your pet’s health. It can affect YOUR health too if they track it all over the place or lick you.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus made her first television appearance since being diagnosed in September of last year with breast cancer. She gave Kimmel the good news that she beat it. Kimmel asked Julia why she was very open when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She said that her VEEP crew would find out, so she embraced it, had a sense of humor about it. Another reason was to have a conversation about why someone battling cancer would need complete health care.

TODAY’S GOOD NEWS
There’s a six-year-old kid in western Michigan named Ian Unger who has type-1 diabetes. So his parents constantly have to monitor his insulin levels. And they’ve been looking into getting him a service dog to help.
Dogs can be specially trained now to sense when your insulin levels are dropping, just by smelling you. But they can cost up to $25,000. And sometimes you have to wait over a year to get one.
Anyway, Ian and his mom knew they had some time to raise money. So they came up with an idea to grow pumpkins this year and sell them for Halloween.
They posted photos on Facebook a few weeks ago, offering big pumpkins for $10, and smaller ones for $5. And once people found out where the money was going, they completely sold out. So that put a small dent in what they needed to raise.
But then Ian’s mom realized the story might go viral after a local news outlet picked up on it last week. So she launched a Facebook fundraiser which is now over 25 thousand.

Should Your Commute Count as Part of Your Work Hours?
Here’s a question that a new study just put out there: Should your commute count as part of your work hours?
After all, it’s part of your job to get there and get home, even though you don’t get paid for it. And if you get an email or a call from your boss during your commute, you’re going to take care of it. So that’s all work time, right?
According to the scientists behind the study, the answer is . . . YES, you should get paid for your commute.
But believe it or not, they DID find some people who wouldn’t want that.
Those people say they like having their commute to mentally switch from home mode to work mode . . . and most importantly, they don’t want to have their boss EXPECT them to get stuff done during that time.

Here’s something you probably don’t want to hear, especially if you are of a certain age.
If you are starting to see wrinkles staring back at you in the mirror, there is something else that you might need to worry about. A study suggests that forehead wrinkles could be an early an early warning of heart problems.
Research presented at the world’s largest heart conference found that adults with the wrinkliest brows are 10 times more likely to die younger than those with smooth skin. Scientists said horizontal wrinkles could be a “red flag” indicating hardening of the arteries — a major trigger for heart attacks.
They suggest that doctors should keep a close eye on patients who look older than their years, and ensure they undergo a health assessment.
Although the risk applies to those with abundant wrinkles in general, researchers suggest that doctors focus on forehead wrinkles because they are so easily visible.
