Brad Paisley Sticking To “fun Topics”
Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood will stick to pretty safe topics while co-hosting this week’s CMA Awards, particularly those that will make everyone laugh.
Brad said they had specific self-imposed guidelines for writing this year’s script.
“It’s like, here’s the rule as we write this. It’s like, ‘What’s fun?’ What’s fun to talk about, and that’s our rule. I just don’t want to . . . We’re not getting into heavy things. It’d be nice to get to that night and be able to have fun, and last year was a heavier year with everything that had happened, and knock on wood, this year there are a lot of things that are fun to talk about right now for us.”
Brad and Carrie will assume hosting duties for the 11th consecutive year on Wednesday, November 14th. The 52nd annual CMA Awards will air live from Nashville on ABC beginning at 8 p.m.
